GRD Hosts GR Network Workshop to Cultivate Global Mindsets and Strengthen International Networks
หมวดหมู่ข่าว: SDG04 SDG17 ข่าวภาษาอังกฤษOn 18 June 2026, the Global Relations Division (GRD) organised the Global Relations Network (GR Network) workshop under the theme “Connect & Co-Create: Global Mind Starts with Us” at Wanasawan Meeting Room. This activity aimed to serve as platform for lecturers and staff members from each school and division who responsible for the international relations matters to connect, get to know one another, and form a cohesive network. All activities were designed to promote an understanding of internationalisation and a global mindset, exchange diverse perspectives, and reflect the expectations of personnel towards the university’s progress.
The session featured a special guest speaker, Ms. Porntip Kanjananiyot, a Special Advisor at SEAMEO RIHED, who shared her expertise and inspired participants with a keynote address on the topic “Why Global Mindset Matters”.
Following this, Asst. Prof. Dr.Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of MFU, led the ‘Reflection and Shared Perspective’ session. She guided participants on how to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds. She added that the university aims to cultivate global citizen who can see, save, and serve the world:
- See the world: Developing an understanding of international rules and etiquette, keeping updated with global changes, and being able to live meaningfully and happily in an interconnected world.
- Save the world: Contributing to society through knowledge, skills, and disciplines. This includes learning how to learn, reinventing oneself with a growth mindset, collaborating in teams with integrity, and being ‘literate’ through practical application, not jot theory.
- Serve the world: Developing a socially responsible mindset, thinking not only of oneself but actively working for the benefit of others.
In addition to the guest sessions, Ms. Wannapha Thippayasak, Head of Global Relations Division, formally introduced the GRD team members. She outlined their key responsibilities and highlighted specific areas where the GRD can facilitate and support the international missions of the university's various schools.
Throughout the event, participants were encouraged to brainstorm and reflect on what they had learned, what they want to see for the future of the university, and what actionable steps they can take to contribute to both MFU and society. Furthermore, attendees reflected on the knowledge and inspiration they gained from the workshop, committing to share these insights with their respective teams.
Altogether, this activity marks a successful first step for the Global Relations Network in joining hands and moving towards a shared goal: driving the university’s internationalisation and cultivating true global citizens.
