Programme’s Philosophy

 

Programme’s Objectives

The program aims to produce graduates who:
1) Possess comprehensive knowledge and skills in public health, with the ability to apply digital technologies, health information management systems, and communicate effectively in foreign languages.
2) Are capable of developing primary community health management projects in response to public health crises and emergencies, demonstrating adaptability to global changes and engaging in systematic knowledge acquisition.
3) Uphold professional ethics in community public health, maintain academic integrity, take social responsibility, and prioritize the public interest.
4) Serve as public health professionals who can deliver health services and communicate health risks effectively in dynamic crisis or emergency situations.

 

Career Opportunities

Graduates in Public Health are qualified to pursue careers in various positions, including:
1. Public Health Technical Officer within agencies under the Ministry of Public Health, both at the central level such as the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Department of Disease Control, bureaus, and divisions and at the regional level such as Provincial Public Health Offices, District Public Health Offices, regional hospitals, general hospitals, community hospitals, and health promoting hospitals.
2. Public Health Technical Officer within local administrative organizations, including Provincial Administrative Organizations, Sub-district Municipalities, Town Municipalities, City Municipalities, Sub-district Administrative Organizations, and health-promoting hospitals under local administrative organizations.
3. Public Health Policy and Planning Analyst in governmental or private sector agencies.
4. Public Health Technical Officer or Research Assistant in public health organizations at the international level.
5. Public Health Officer.
6. Researcher or Research Assistant.
7. Independent Practitioner in the fields of health and public health.
